Member of Parliament for Hohoe, John Peter Amewu went unopposed in the constituency after nominations closed.

According to a report by Joy News, no other candidate presented their nomination forms to battle for the seat after nominations were closed.

This means that Amewu will just be acclaimed by Delegates in his constituency on a yet-to-be-decided date.

Speaking to the media, Hohoe Constituency Chairman Anthony Kondobri indicated that since taking over power as Member of Parliament, Amewu has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he is the best fit for the job.

He said “In my capacity as constituency chairman, I am convinced that the development steps that Hon. Amewu has taken means he is still winning the seat come December 7, 2024.

He believes that human development, capital development, and financial development in the constituency of the current Member of Parliament should be the watchwords ahead of the 2024 elections.
