Adewale Giwa, the Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, has expressed his opinion about the 2023 presidential candidates of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP – Rabiu Kwankwaso, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP – Atiku Abubakar, and Labour Party, LP – Peter Obi, stating that President Bola Tinubu is wiser than them.

Pastor Giwa believes that Atiku, Obi, and Kwankwaso are making a mistake in their political decisions and will not be able to challenge Tinubu for power in 2027.

A political economist, Pat Utomi, had confirmed the agreement between Atiku, Kwankwaso, and Obi to form a strong political party that aims to dethrone Tinubu in 2027.

In response, Pastor Giwa emphasized that Tinubu possesses the ability to foil the plans of opposition parties.

Speaking with NewsNow, he pointed out, “Their actions are mistimed. Why didn’t they unite before the 2023 presidential election?

“You cannot dislodge a ruling party without internal coherence. What were they doing prior to the 2023 election?

“I advised one of them before the election that if he genuinely cared for Nigeria, he should have supported a candidate from his party instead of switching to another. It required a perfect political storm to unseat former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015. The opposition parties were united, setting aside personal interests to strongly support their chosen candidate.

“I doubt their ability to unify and form a robust opposition party. President Tinubu holds more political astuteness. He is a seasoned player in the political field. If Tinubu decides to alter the course of Nigeria, the opposition parties will be left in the lurch.

“As I mentioned earlier, if President Tinubu starts delivering positive changes for Nigerians, the opposition will have nothing to critique.”

Regarding the role of the church in preparing Nigerians for the 2027 election, Giwa highlighted, “The church is fragmented, akin to the political parties. There will never be a day when the church will speak with one voice.”
