It is one of the last sacred forest in Nigeria built by an Austrian-Nigerian artist & Yoruba priestess Susanne Wenger MFR, also known as Adunni Olorisha. Every year, the Osun worshippers gather at the Osun river to perform rituals to the goddess, believing all their problems will be solved . In the forest, no building, fishing or hunting of animals is allowed. It is a second UNESCO heritage site in Nigeria. So many Yoruba gods are situated there.
