According to the LP, after the Presiding Justice, His Lordship John Inyang Okoro JSC, read the judgment on PDP’s appeal, he verbally stated that the decision in the LP appeal would abide by the judgment just delivered in respect of the PDP appeal. The party describes this development as unprecedented and unacceptable.
The LP finds it embarrassing and depressing that the Supreme Court, after hearing the appeal by the party, refused to deliver any judgment and also failed to provide the party with any copy of its decision.
The party believes that the Supreme Court’s conduct constitutes an unmitigated breach of the constitutional right of LP and its candidate to a fair hearing.
