Bishop Oyedepo

The trio of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi; Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun; and his Delta State counterpart, Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide and Presiding Bishop of Faith Tabernacle, Ota, Ogun State, David Oyedepo, on his 69th birthday anniversary.

Obi, in a statement by media aide, Michael Jude Nwolisa, described the clergy as forthright and courageous in his spread of the message of salvation, adding: “Aside from your dutiful preaching of the gospel, you have also continued to contribute meaningfully to national development by investing heavily in education.”

Abiodun described Oyedepo as a shining light in Christendom via a statement by Chief Press Secretary, Lekan Adeniran, where he noted: “Your teachings have transformed the lives of many and have shaped the destiny of our nation.

“I am grateful for your contributions to the development of Ogun State, particularly, in the area of education. Your investment in Covenant University and other educational institutions in the state have greatly impacted the lives of our youth.”

Oborevwori, on his part, described Oyedepo as a role model whose leadership credentials are worth studying.

A statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, reads in part: “It is on record that you distinguished yourself as an astute preacher, indefatigable administrator and leader of immense repute, and we remain very proud of your sterling accomplishments in the leadership of the church.”
