Bauchi State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has described the commitment of the state government to construction of two flyovers within Bauchi metropolis.

NIPR stated that the move is commendable as it will ease traffic congestion within the metropolis and add to its beautification.

Chairman of the Institute, Rabi’u Muhammad Wada made the commendation during the Institute’s monthly meeting held in Bauchi on Thursday saying that the flyovers to be constructed at Wunti and Central Market would add value to the state capital.

Rabi’u Wada maintained that as a professional body, the Institute is not unmindful of all the happenings at both the State and National Levels hence the need to encourage the state government on its infrastructural development initiatives.

According to him, replication of similar gestures in other towns across the state would further improve economic activities and ease transportation challenges.

The NIPR Chairman assured that the Institute would continue to support the state government to deliver on its mandate, especially in the areas of improving the quality of lives of the citizens.

Recall the State Executive Council (SEC), had during its last extraordinary meeting unveiled plans to construct two flyovers at the busiest areas of Wunti and Central Markets within the state capital as well as construction of 200 kilometers of roads across the Three Senatorial zones to ease vehicular movements.
