Peter Obi?s petition against Tinubu is an effort in futility ? Ned Nwoko

Ned Nwoko, the elected senator for Delta North, has expressed his opinion that the petition of the Labour Party Presidential candidate against Tinubu’s presidential election victory is likely to be ineffective.

Punch reported Nwoko’s explanation that once Tinubu is inaugurated as President, the petition filed against him at the Presidential Elections Petitions Tribunal in Abuja may not progress further.

Nwoko suggested that the Labour Party’s unrealistic expectations and poor assessment of the situation contributed to its defeat. He added that if opposition parties had united, they could have defeated the ruling APC due to the perceived poor performance of the current APC administration under President Buhari.

He further stated, “Once Tinubu is inaugurated as President, he takes charge of everything. He becomes the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces; he orders them and uses them as he wishes. He appoints a new Chief Justice upon recommendation by the judicial council. So, you see, it is almost impossible to stop him from completing his four-year tenure. Moving forward, the PDP and Labour Party have to come to terms and make the next election more strategic. Natural alliance between both parties is the only way to save Nigeria from this inauspicious government.”
