On a recent Sunday, Qamar Zaman Kaira, a distinguished figure within the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), shared concerns about Nawaz Sharif allegedly receiving favors before his return from London. Speaking passionately in Mandi Bahauddin, Kaira emphasized the need to avoid forcefully excluding any political party from participating in the democratic process. He fervently advocated for every political entity to exercise its right to engage in political activities, addressing issues related to a fair playing field for the PPP and other parties.

Discussing the potential for seat adjustments with other political entities, Kaira clarified that the PPP would not pursue such arrangements. He underscored the significance of involving the masses in political decisions, highlighting the PPP’s historical reliance on the support of the people rather than forming political alliances.

Expressing his perspective on legal matters, Kaira stated, “It should be up to the courts to deliver verdicts. If anyone has violated the law, then that person should be held accountable in a transparent procedure.”

In a separate gathering, Bhutto-Zardari asserted the PPP’s readiness for upcoming elections, regardless of the preparedness of other political parties. Addressing a workers’ convention in Kohat, he criticized political opponents with diverse motives for participating in elections and assured that the PPP would prioritize serving the people if elected.

Bhutto-Zardari pledged to create global employment opportunities and ensure fundamental rights for the masses. He maintained that the PPP continues to receive unwavering support from the people, emphasizing the party’s commitment to staying connected with the masses.

Emphasizing the PPP’s role as representatives of the general public rather than elites, Bhutto-Zardari stated, “The PPP represents the people in general, not the elites.” Commending PPP workers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for demonstrating the party’s presence despite challenges and security concerns surrounding conventions in the region, he addressed rumors about appointing a new chief minister for the province, assuring that decisions would be made transparently.
