Muslims in Nigeria have been advised to adhere strictly to the real Ramadan teaching anchored on helping the poor, and the needy in society and being peaceful always.

This is as they continue to observe the already chosen one month of Ramadan all over the nation and beyond

The immediate past Special Adviser to the Governor of Imo State on Gender and Northern Affairs, Hon. Suleiman Ibrahim Sulieman admonished them to use the Ramadan period and pray for the peace and unity of the nation.

Sulieman in his message to his Muslim brothers in Owerri on Monday, recalled what Allah wants them to do while observing the Ramadan celebration.

He regretted the difficult situation of lack of food, and money as well as lack of peace currently facing people even in the course of observing the fasting period.

While expressing his satisfaction with the activities of Ramadan and the way it’s being celebrated, the former Governor’s aide acknowledged that Ramadan is still Ramadan adding that the only change is the activities as it concerns the people.

He said: “Both the activities of the people and nature of living have made people change if not Ramadan is Ramadan.”

Describing Ramadan as a month in the entire Muslim World when Allah created for Himself, Hon Sulieman added that only Allah knows what to give to any of his servants who observe the month.

He said that in the same Ramadan month, Allah created fasting which will stop one from eating, drinking, lying, committing adultery and having sexual intercourse.
