“Misplaced Priorities” – Daniel Regha Drags Peter Obi For Travelling To Ivory Coast To Watch Nigeria’s Match

Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, traveled to Ivory Coast on Friday to watch the match between the Super Eagles and Angola in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Reacting to the development, Daniel Regha took to his Twitter page to criticize Peter Obi following Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Angola to qualify for the semi-finals.

He questioned the appropriateness of the politician’s journey, especially considering the ongoing crises in Nigeria, including challenges in Obi’s home state of Anambra.

Regha raised concerns about the priorities of politicians like Peter Obi, suggesting that they should focus on addressing national issues rather than attending sporting events.

The social media critic proposed that such events are better suited for entertainers and influencers, leaving politicians to concentrate on governance responsibilities.

He wrote, “Peter Obi is currently in Ivory Coast to do what exactly? Travelling all the way to watch the Super Eagles while Nigeria is currently in crisis, including Anambra State.”

“Public figures who should be at the stadium are entertainers and influencers, not politicians who should be fixing the nation. This is nothing but a PR move. Misplaced priorities.”

This criticism comes shortly after photos of Peter Obi enjoying the match in Ivory Coast surfaced online, showing him smiling and cheering enthusiastically.
