Umahi hailed President Tinubu’s triumph as a victory against darkness, expressing his views during a press conference held after a courtesy visit to Ebonyi State Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru at the new government House centenary city Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State.
According to Umahi, Peter Obi served as the John the Baptist figure, preparing the way for President Tinubu’s divine arrival, and his purpose has been fulfilled by God. He added, “I advised him (Obi) not to go to appeal. My son, who is a lawyer, has analyzed the judgment and found no hope for an appeal. The judges were thorough, leaving no stone unturned. Therefore, I recommend that he (Obi) does not proceed to the appeal court.”
