Ive always felt that notwithstanding the noise Nigeria is more progressive in women's welfare than the West. Yes we have gender norms, but we respect our mothers and historically saw them excel in commerce, and apply intellect in family matters, religion etc. 16% of construction workforce being women is only a start but still something to be proud of. I felt there is NO WAY there are this many women in construction in US. so I looked it up. 10.8%. After more than fifty years of noise making.
