Kaduna Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has sacked the State Governor, Uba Sani, of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This is as the tribunal declared the governorship election held on March 18 inconclusive.
In a split decision of 2-1, the three-man tribunal declared the election inconclusive and directed that a supplementary election should be held by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) within 90 days.
INEC is expected to conduct election in seven wards of four local government areas.
Persecondnews recalls that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its Governorship candidate, Isa Mohammed Ashiru, is challenging the election of Sani as the Governor of Kaduna State on the grounds of irregularities and electoral fraud.
During the hearing of the petition, the PDP and Ashiru called 24 witnesses and presented claims and documents to prove their case.
