The World Bank Country Director for Nigeria, Shubham Chaudhuri, has lauded Nigeria’s significant gains from World Bank interventions, highlighting Jigawa State’s exemplary commitment to addressing development challenges.
Governor Umar Namadi also received praise for the state’s maturity and political will in transforming key areas through effective policies.
Expressing gratitude for the World Bank’s support, Governor Namadi emphasized the fruitful three-decade partnership between Jigawa and the World Bank.
He however advocated for reforms and a revised approach to enhance the impact of the Bank’s assisted programs on poverty, unemployment, and hunger.
Governor Namadi, while emphasizing the importance of human capital development, is also seeks tailored assistance in these priority areas to amplify positive outcomes for the state’s residents.
