His comments were prompted by the recent abduction of passengers traveling to Abuja in mass transit buses in Kogi State.

Obi took to social media to convey his dismay over the situation and emphasized the urgent need for the government and relevant agencies to prioritize the security of lives and property. He called on the perpetrators of such criminal acts to reconsider their actions and urged for collective efforts to secure the safe release of the kidnapped victims.

Highlighting the severity of the situation, Obi emphasized that the current level of insecurity in the country cannot be tolerated and stressed the necessity for the government to implement more robust and innovative strategies to address the prevalent insecurity.
