Awaiting the formal opening of the new terminal to commercial use.
Perhaps the existing terminal will be used for charter flights and as a presidential wing to receive top government officials.
I'm hoping that Umo Eno will add his own touch to this Airport by constructing a state of rhe art cargo terminal at the other end of rhe taxi way, complete with complementary infrastructure (road networks) and also draw the presence of nigerian air force to this airport.
Akwa Ibom state government should consider acquiring the mobil airstrip at Eket and carryout some remedial works to enable it serve as a proper second airport for Akwa Ibom. Perhaps extend the runway a bit (to cope with CRJ900s and small Embraer aircrafts) while also adding a simple but modern terminal building.
We are already in second part of the year.
