Award-winning Afrobeat singer, Paul Okoye better known as Rude Boy has thrown a subtle shade at supporters of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The music superstar singer, who was a proud supporter of Tinubu’s rival, Peter Obi at the General election, had a question for his proud supporters.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter now known as X, he questioned if they are still standing as he noted how $1 is now N1,025.

As for him, he is still standing strong and the economy doesn’t affect him.

“Just a reminder, $1 is now 1,025 Naira. Hope some of y’all are still standing. As you can see I stand Gidigba”.

Taking to the comment section, many lamented the country’s economy.

Paul Okoye mocks President Tinubu's supporters

A few days back, Paul had expressed his concerns about the current state of Nigeria’s economy.

In an Instagram story, he highlighted the significant impact of rising costs on everyday life, particularly in the context of soaring diesel prices.

Okoye revealed that his monthly expenditure on diesel now stands at a staggering 3 million Naira.

Recall that during the election, Peter Okoye popularly known as Mr P had a message for poor Nigerians.

The singer shared a photo of him living his best life, stating that if Nigerians don’t vote wisely, they will end up suffering.

The singer, was no doubt referring to the average Nigerians, as they would suffer the most if a bad government enters into power.

In other news, Peter had replied those trolling him and his twin brother, Paul, noting how many were attributing Psquare’s fame and success to Lagos.

Okoye questioned if Lagos collected their glory to give to him and his twin while making it clear that Lagos didn’t try at all if that’s the case.
