As part of his administration`s efforts to regulate, conserve and promote sustainable use of the natural resources of Edo state forest assets through quality policy development and strategic partnership, the State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki on Wednesday inaugurated the State Forestry Commission and launched the state forest restoration and plantation strategy. The ceremony, which took place at the Okomu National Park in Udo, Ovia South West Local Government Area had in attendance critical stakeholders, forest experts, international partners, and traditional rulers among others.
