Former Labor Party presidential candidate, LP, Peter Obi has alleged that some government agencies are now insulting him and holding public meetings over his matter.

Obi, however, said the development does not bother him, adding that many people would be surprised if they knew what he goes through every day.

The former governor of Anambra State made the statement on Friday in Canada while responding to questions on the recent general elections in Nigeria.

“If I tell people, and I tell it every day, what I’m going through, they’ll ask me why I’m in this. You’ll ask me why I keep doing this; Who do you still have to bother? But I’m in this. Every now and then you see various government agencies, government tools, even when I am not participating in any election, insulting me every day. Now they organize public meetings just for me. No problem. It doesn’t bother me. Let’s keep doing what we were doing. We did it right. And we should be proud of that and continue on that trajectory.”

DAILY POST reports that the LP presidential candidate was in Canada for a “thank you” tour to thank Nigerians living in the country for the support they offered him during the 2023 campaign/general election.
