Daniel Bwala, a former lawmaker, has criticized the quality of boreholes donated by Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, describing them as repugnant to natural justice, equity, and good conscience.
Bwala alleged that the Water Corporation in Anambra State, during Obi’s tenure as governor, was not in a good state, questioning the rationale behind the borehole donations.
Obi recently concluded his visit to 19 states in the northern part of Nigeria, during which he donated boreholes to communities in Kaduna, Sokoto, and others.
While this gesture received commendations from many Nigerians, it has also faced criticism from individuals like Bwala.
In a post on his social media handle, Bwala stated, “You only need to see @PeterObi’s water corporation when he was governor to understand why he sponsored those boreholes that are repugnant to natural justice, equity, and good conscience.
That is his style of governance. You cannot give what you don’t have. I am so happy that the demographics he deceived in the 2023 elections are wiser now.”
