The heroes narrowly escape danger and manage to return to reality. The clues they picked up in the
Delta state, and the use of their individual powers are put to use as they race to save the science
fiction writer. The rifter threat is further developed as we are introduced to two rifter predators
who appear to be tracking the heroes’ every move in the real world.
