The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) stopped announcing final results for many national and provincial voting areas due to complaints about cheating and other problems.
A group from the ECP listened to these complaints.
One of the ECP members, Durrani, said that the person who lost is happy, and the winner is accusing others of cheating. He wondered how long this situation will continue.
A special secretary from the ECP said that most voting areas have already announced their final results, and delaying the results might slow down the next steps.
The ECP didn’t announce final results for several areas including NA-56 Rawalpindi, NA-53, NA-52, NA-57, NA-60 Jhelum, NA-69 Mandi Bahauddin, NA-126, NA-127 Lahore, and NA-87 Khushab.
They also asked for reports from officials for NA-106 Toba Tek Singh before announcing final results.
Additionally, officials were told not to announce final results for areas like Sargodha, PP-133 Nankana Sahib, PP-15 Rawalpindi, PP-43 Mandi Bahauddin, and others.
The ECP also stopped final results for PB-14 Naseerabad and PB-44 Quetta.
