Philip Shaibu was impeached earlier today by the state House of Assembly after the adoption of the report of the seven-man investigative panel set up by the state Chief Judge, Justice Daniel Okungbowa to probe allegations of misconduct against Mr Shaibu.
The Assembly voted for impeachment of the deputy governor by a vote of 18 against one who voted against among the 20 members present with the speaker expected to give the deciding vote in case of a tie.
Mr Shaibu, according to Justice Stephen Omonua (Rtd)-led a seven-man panel set up to investigate the allegation of gross misconduct levelled against the deputy governor, submitted that the deputy governor was guilty of disclosure of official secret.

Shuaibu consumed by his unbridled ambition. He is less than 50years. Philip should have waited for the next eight years to contest instead of flexing power with his boss. With this impeachment, Shuaibu is done politically. I'm happy that this is happening to him considering how he was used to remove Oshiomole as APC Chairman. What goes around comes around.
