In response to rumors circulating, the Presidential Candidate for the 2023 general elections under the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has adamantly refuted any suggestions of departing from the party.
A statement released by Peter Obi Media Reach, POMR, confirmed this stance.
The LP candidate, through his Media Aide, Michael Jude Nwolisa, disassociated himself from certain online reports (excluding NewsNow), insisting that these were merely the works of troublemakers.
Emphasizing this, Obi’s Media Aide, Michael Jude Nwolisa, expressed firm denial regarding the trending false information implying Obi’s separation from the Labour Party.
“These spurious allegations against the party did not arise recently; they are aimed at causing chaos within the party and are orchestrated by parties with ulterior motives, seeking to disrupt the party’s foundation,” the statement read.
“Our focus remains on driving progress in Nigeria, rather than engaging in political partisanship, which concluded on October 26, 2023, following the Supreme Court’s final ruling on the general elections,” the statement continued.
