In a bid to discourage cultism among Nigerian youths, the Delta State Police Commissioner Mr. Ali Mohammed Ari has appealed to the State Houses of Assembly and the National Assembly to repeal the existing laws prohibiting cult-related matters and make the punishment more stringent.
Mr. Ari stated this at the Command`s headquarters in Asaba while parading forty-three suspected cultists and one arrested in connection with the murder of an Army officer in Warri and other suspects involved in various crimes.
Asaba correspondent Austin Azu reports that the police displayed exhibits recovered from the suspects.
