BREAKING: Presidential Hopeful, Peter Obi Addresses World Press Conference After Supreme Court Loss

FCT, Abuja – Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), will address a world press conference on Monday, November 6.

The LP disclosed this in a terse statement.

LP’s Obi to address Nigerians

According to the opposition party, the conference will be held at Obi’s campaign headquarters in Abuja at 2 p.m.

The LP said in the statement shared on its official X (formerly known as Twitter) page:

“Important Info: World Press Conference to be addressed by His Excellency Peter 0bi is scheduled for 2pm today at Campaign HQ.”

Legit.ng understands that one of the issues Obi will speak on is the Supreme Court’s judgement which dismissed his cases against President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

There had been insinuations that Obi went into hiding after his loss at the Supreme Court.

Many Nigerians had expected Obi to officially speak up on the apex court’s verdict. His noticeable silence weeks after the judgement prompted speculations among social media users that the former Anambra governor must have gone into hiding or was still hurting from the loss at the courts.

Supreme Court affirms Tinubu winner

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the Supreme Court rejected Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi’s appeal challenging President Bola Tinubu’s election.

In a decision monitored by Legit.ng on Thursday, October 26, the court determined that Atiku’s appeal as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate and Obi’s did not have a solid legal basis.

Akiolu asks opposition to work with Tinubu

Legit.ng also reported that Obi, Atiku and President Tinubu were urged to come together and move Nigeria forward.

The Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, made this plea during an interview with The Punch.
