Breaking: Like Peter Obi, Shettima arrives Abidjan to support Super Eagles

Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, to support Nigeria’s Super Eagles as they face South Africa in the semi-finals of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations.

Stanley Nkwocha, senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity in the Office of the Vice President, revealed that Shettima traveled for Abidjan at the request of President Bola Tinubu.

The match will take place later this evening at the Stade de la Paix in Bouake, Côte d’Ivoire.

The vice president’s visit will bolster Nigeria’s deep bond with football and its national identity.

Dignitaries like presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter had earlier visited the country to show support for the Nigerian team.
