Borno State Deputy Governor H.E Hon.Umar Usman Kadafur visits flood affected areas within metropolis
Borno State Deputy Governor H.E Hon.Umar Usman Kadafur in company of the committee on flood disaster and officials of SEMA have visited some areas affected by flood within the Maiduguri Metropolis to assess the extent of destruction and measures to be taken to contain the situation.
The team have visited Bulabulin by-pass, Gwange, BRTV, College of Health and Technology and Maduganari area.
The Deputy Governor expressed concern on a situation where some people have shown deaf ears after several warnings not to reside at the river banks ,stressing that the committee will go round all the flooded areas to assess the situation and profer urgent solution
The Deputy Governor advised those that their houses were flooded to as a matter of urgency vacate and relocate to safer places to avoid lost of lives and properties.
