Since this is a new project, look into building grid-tie into the system. Grid-tie allows individual homes to install solar panels on their roof. Electricity generated is used on site, and any excess is sold to the grid.
Since most of the electricity generated is used on site, the grid requires a smaller transmission infrastructure. Also, since solar panels are distributed all over town, they are not a target for Fulani terrorists. Grid-tie also reduces electricity bill for everyone. Let's say my 1kiloWatt solar panels generate N25,000 of electricity in one month, my electricity bill would be reduced by N25k that month.
