The Akwa Ibom State Agency for the Control of AIDS with support from ECEWS and the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs played host to traditional rulers in Uyo Senatorial District of the State to a 1-Day HIV sensitization workshop.
Held on Thursday, April 10, 2024, in Uyo, the State Capital, the workshop was organised as part of efforts to achieve zero new HIV infections across various communities which have been deeply impacted by the virus.
Participants at the event were revered Paramount Rulers, Clan Heads, Village Heads and Youth Leaders from all nine(9) LGAs of Uyo Senatorial District, amongst other critical stakeholders.
