The complaints about excessive taxation seems to be the trend here. The State Government should address this urgently. In the New Abia of today, this should not be one of the issues these women should be facing now.
Saddly our people are used to trading along the street , however it's wrong , hawking is like Agbero or moto parking tout , it's dangerous to trade along the road , Aba roads are now reasonably ok therefore crowding should be reduced while the people spread to other areas with shops officially

This is eye opening and is happening in many states. People managing markets in Urban areas are usually criminals. Some are not even from govt. I imagine if all these tax have been entering govt purse completely…hmmm the revenue will be 3 times what it used to be. I don't blame them, if a governor is a thief why will every other person working for govt not be a thief? The difference is that governor steals with pen and under police and army protection and these agbero steal with their thugs. Imagine if the govt constructs these markets very well, divide the shops, and everyone selling anything is registered and pays every six months, quarterly or yearly and be given security contact for against any disturbance. Or each section of the market should have a security point that monitors it. Then those thiefs should be called to order and employed to do other things elsewhere and not even within the same market else they will regroup again because free money is very enticing……They market men and women can pay every thing to govt account and have their cards and codes that can be verified with a digital machine. It's not a rocket science, so that both security, sanitation, light and maintenance can be taken care of
