As much as the State Government is doing its best to meet the environmental demands of the State capital, more needs to be done in the area of Personal Protection Equipment for the workers. For instance, masks will protect sorters and dumpsite workers from toxic fumes and gases from recyclable materials. Also, cones will further protect street sweepers from potential accidents by careless drivers. Mobile road signs are needed to alert drivers of the activity of road sweepers to reduce incidents of avoidable accidents involving street sweepers. Just so you know, the idea of using brooms to clean our motorway is very archaic. This is the 21st Century, we cannot deploy 18th Century methodology to resolve 21st Century issues.
