A Republican speaker could win with some Democratic votes. It could be a Republican who is completely right wing on policy but who has character and regard for the truth that Jordan lacks. Jordan is a grandstander that will always insult everybody's intelligence with his absurd rhetoric. I oppose the Republicans and their programs, but they have the right to have a Speaker who works for their policy without being a congenital liar and troublemaker like Jordan. OF course maybe a lot of Republicans could not stand a Republican Speaker who has the character tolerable or admired by any Democrats.
As such it seems he would.
