As a Californian I can whole heartedly say these bans don’t work. The fbi knew about this guy and dropped the ball yet again.

Criminals don’t follow laws. We can all agree on that. Laws don’t stop bad intentions. Can we all agree to that point? If someone wants to do harm they have free will to do so.
We all have to admit there are certain issues and problems that CANT BE FIXED. You can’t control someone’s intentions. Fact!!!Regarding gun violence, we can only deter we can’t stop it. Ban and eliminate all you want. Someone with bad intentions to do harm will 3-D print a gun. There are two commonalities I see. One is bullying the other is mental illness. Bullying breeds 3 things. Complacency, suicide, revenge ( school shootings) Mainstreaming kids with special needs promotes bullying. Funding for special needs schools is dwindling. We all saw Forest Gump and know what happens when you’re different. To address the mentally ill I would propose a 12-18 month program that makes military service mandatory. This time would help weed out those that are mentally challenged. A sort of screening process. Red flag type laws would deter easy legal gun access to those individuals identified by their peers as “a risk” Once again, just a deterrence, not a fix. We currently don’t have any type of screening process to identify mentally impaired people other than word of mouth.
I think if everyone had a gun with one bullet to use and your use of that bullet is legal with no repercussions can you imagine how nice everyone would be to each other? No one would know if you used your free bullet or not. 😂
