For people that do not understand the housing crash. The value of the asset depreciated for various reasons, and when many Americans needed to sell or default , unlike what would’ve happened previously where they could’ve sold their homes with an equity value ….the lender was stuck selling short. The lender being many investors groups of investors, so the trickle down to those investors was devastating, and we had to prop the banks up. Remember the investors can be you and me. The banks under those regulations back then had given loans out to what is called stated income. Yes, believe it or not if you are the company you could show them what your income was and a lot of numbers could be played with. his reputation allowed for a lot of bypassing, and it certainly took the cooperation of his accountants and attorneys. Sure the banks made money and they’re supposed to. It didn’t go in their pockets for a yacht. It went into your pocket for your CDs and other. But if all of a sudden the business crashed there would not be the equity value as stated to cover. This would be a crash for those institutions and all of those who participated in it. This is why we have laws. This is why we cannot allow much like a Ponzi scheme… Were those who have invested get paid out but in the end, there’s a lot of people holding the back. We have laws against this, and this is why Trump’s business is being held accountable.

This trial is silly. Banks check assets before issuing loans. If they don't think the collateral is there then they have every right to refuse the loan. This is just stupid. If they issue the loan then that's simply a risk they take to make that interest money. Nothing in life is guaranteed except death and taxes. Oh, and that the Dems will attack a political rival using illegal and corrupt methods.This joke of a case is literally trying to say taking out a loan is illegal. It's BEYOND ridiculous.
