Wole Soyinka, Governor Otti Visit President Tinubu At Presidential Villa

Governor Otti, you have done very well for your state to pay a visit to the president irrespective of your party affiliation. This shows a tremendous interest and determination to see the situation in the country make some progress under the current administration. Elections and campaigns are over with, and it is time to govern through sharing of ideas on matters important to Nigerians. When elections are over with elected and non-elected leaders from different parties in the country are trusted with the responsibilities of moving the country beyond politics. Governor Otti you are doing exactly the right thing for your state and Nigeria. Good leaders move on under any circumstances.

Nigerian Youths, what Tinubu and APC represent should pain all of us! At a time when Africa is on the verge of extricating itself completely from the stranglehold of colonialism, and a time when Nigeria should be leading that fight, we have leaders that are too selfish to look beyond their feet and focused on celebrating their birthday in a stadium and carelessly shouting emilokan! It is a pity! Because of the activities of these myopic leaders, Nigeria is slowly losing the opportunity to play the role it should be playing as the so-called giant of Africa!

Nigeria is on the wrong path. How can we set a bar so low for our leaders today and expect a better and progressive Nigeria tomorrow? We can’t be this delusional; it is not a realistic position to be in. When a president who should know the law intentionally breaks the law, what do you call it? What is happening in Rivers State today was perpetrated by Wike, under the supervision of Mr. Tinubu. Together with APC, they stole Nigeria from Nigerians, and here we are— left with people without a legitimate mandate holding on to power!

Tinubu and his APC cronies masterminded all the criminal activities happening in Nigeria today, and no one is speaking up vehemently against them. No one is protesting as forcefully as we all should if we love Nigeria enough. President Buhari died in London in 2017 and Tinubu and APC kept his death a secret and hid it from Nigerians, so they can keep stealing from us, and we acquiesced. Remember, because of your silence, Nigeria will forever be known as the only country in the world that was ruled for 6 years by a dead president. Also, because of your silence, Nigeria will forever be known as a country that was ruled by a career criminal, a certificate forger, and a drug baron! And it all happened at your watch! He who has ears, let him here! The world is watching, and history is recording!

I agree that good economic policies take time to yield tangible results. However, this administration has shown that they would rather spend Nigeria's money on frivolities like buying SUVs, sending almost a thousand folks to COP and renovating houses that would probably not be used. How's the bloated cost of governance going to add to the Nigerian economy? The pure water hawker is actually contributing more to the Nigerian economy than these politicians.
