Soludo Tours Innoson Vehicle Plant, Encourages Promotion Of Indigenous Brands.

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo says promoting local brands is a significant strategy for the economic growth of the state and the country.

Governor Soludo who stated this during his solidarity visit to Innoson Manufacturing Plant in Nnewi, said that such patronage boosts the local businesses and creates job opportunities.

He also visited the new expansion site of the Company sitting on a three hectare of land in Nnewi.

According to the Governor, supporting local industries also helps in reducing the dependency on foreign products and supporting the local economy, pointing out that by supporting local brands, especially in rural areas, it can help in preserving traditional craftsmanship and culture.

The Governor commended Chief Chukwuma for believing in Nigeria and Anambra, saying that while other people are talking of insecurity, Innoson is expanding.

He called on local brands to come and invest in Anambra, which he described as a viable location.

The Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Vehicles, Chief Innocent Chukwuma who spoke through Obinna Chukwuma said that the Governor’s visit was significant, demonstrating his dedication to the advancement of the automobile sector, not only in Anambra but across Nigeria.

While introducing their new expansion site and their dedication to manufacturing Compressed Natural Gas, CNG and Liquefied Natural Gas, LNG, he sought for government support in fostering an environment conducive to the automobile industry’s growth, through further collaboration and strategic partnerships, to propel Nigeria to the forefront of the automotive manufacturing industry in Africa.

The Commissioner for Industry, Mr. Christian Udechukwu, Commissioner for Transportation, Barr. Pat Igwebuike, Transition Committee Chairman, Nnewi North Local Government Area, Engineer Chris Obiora, among others, attended the event.
