Angry youths drawn from the Eastern Obolo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on Saturday took to the streets to protest plans by the state government to remap the state.
Quick reminder that the Bill titled; “State Map Establishment Bill” passed by the state legislature is now awaiting Governor Udom Emmanuel’s assent.
The Bill had sparked pockets of protests by youths from other local government areas of Mbo, and Ibeno, in the state, who have expressed resentment over the bill and vowed that it would not sail through.
The youths spread charms along the road and occasionally gulped dry gin and beer displaying placards of various inscriptions

  1. I really appreciate the spoke man on the remapping affected Obolo Nation, the truth of the matter the three LGA Presently not have their representative in Akwa Ibom state house of Assembly, that is MBO, EASTERN OBOLO AND IBENO. Currently Esit Eket man represent Ibeno and Ikot Abasi represent Eastern Obolo. Those guys didn't come back and brief their people their represented

  2. It is a very sad thing to see any government do things to favour them rather than the people they claim to serve.what will be the faith of any families that will be displaced from their accessorial home.even a pastor can't listen to the voice of the people?
    What is behind this?
    Hmmmmm
