Niger State RRIFAN/CBN Special Projects Coordinator, Mallam Idris Usman Makanta, has inaugurated new Centre Coordinators for selected Local Government Areas in the state.

Mallam Idris, while inaugurating the new coordinators described the appointments as a step taken to lessen workloads, fasten and enable the body to reach out effectively to about Three-Hundred Thousand targeted rice farmers as well as to boost farmers’ productivity towards achieving bumper harvest and food security in the country.

He said the coordinators whose responsibilities range from piloting affairs across RIFAN centers in local government areas, clusters, warehouses, and distribution of inputs as well as ensure full recovery are expected to also establish 3 to 5 five hectares of rice farmland as their own and be more committed to foster farming Inline with the mandate bestowed on them which he described a “trust”.

The New RIFAN CBN Niger State Office along Bida-Lemu Road was also inaugurated amidst grace by the representatives of CBN lead by Hajiya Hassana Muhammad, who expressed gratitude towards the activities of RIFAN under Malam Idris, advised the new officers on how to achieve desired success.
