IYALOJA-GENERAL VISITS SOKOTO

Over the weekend, the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria; Chief Dr.Mujidat Folasade Tinubu-Ojo visited Sokoto state at the invitation of the FEDERATION OF MUSLIM WOMEN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ (FOMWAN).

As the event’s mother of the day, she charged every participant of the conference to uphold Islamic values and beliefs as stipulated by the Holy Quran and the Holy Prophets (S.A.W)

HOMAGE TO SULTAN OF SOKOTO
Briefly, after the FOMWAN Conference, The Iyaloja-General of Nigeria also paid homage to the SULTAN OF SOKOTO, to thank the SULTAN and the entire people of Sokoto for the support given to her beloved father, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR during and after the 2023 general election.

SOKOTO CENTRAL MARKET ASSESSMENT
The Iyaloja-General visited the iconic SOKOTO CENTRAL MARKET to conduct an on-site assessment of the market, evaluating the challenges faced by the traders in that market and rubbing minds with the leaders of the market to find lasting solutions to the challenges discovered.

She also introduced the NATIONAL MARKET COUNCIL OF NIGERIA (NAMCON) to the market Leaders, a COUNCIL saddled with the responsibility of uniting the market associations and their leaders across the 36 States and the FCT.

She talked about the ongoing nationwide NAMCON-MEMBERSHIP registration & urged every stakeholder to get on board so that d market organs and operators can begin to speak with one voice.

TRIP TO ARGUNGU EMIRATE; KEBBI STATE
Chief Mrs. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo also attended a cultural event at the palace of the EMIR OF ARGUNGU EMIRATE, in Kebbi State.

CHIEFTAINCY TITLE
The Emir of Argungu Emirate conferred on the Iyaloja-General the title known as YAR-GARTAN KEBBI

She thanked the EMIR, THE EMIRATE COUNCIL, AND THE ENTIRE KEBBI STATE for their contribution to the victory of Mr. President during the 2023 GENERAL ELECTION

ARGUNGU MUSEUM TOUR
The Iyaloja-General seized the opportunity of her trip to ARGUNGU to visit one of the oldest thrones in Africa, The first palace of the ARGUNGU EMIRATE that has long been converted to a MUSEUM after a modern palace was put in place.

The MUSEUM housed the great and rich HISTORY of the ARGUNGU EMIRATE and it reaffirms Kebbi State, as a deeply rich state in art, culture, and history.
