I Have No Regret Supporting Tinubu
The political crisis between Rivers State governor, Sim Fubara and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike is far from over.
Wike has declared that he still has a stronghold in the state despite an end of his eight year tenure as governor of Rivers.
Wike has been at loggerheads with his godson, Governor Fubara.
Wike, has boasted that when it is time for politics, everyone will know who is in charge of the politics in Rivers State.
Wike said this when he mended fences and realigned with the South-South Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Victor Giadom, who was hosted at Wike’s Bera country home in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Wike said Giadom gathered his people to show he was still politically relevant. He noted that politics was about making an impact on the people.
Despite the increasing popularity of social media platforms, the FCT minister said he is not swayed by comments on digital mediums. He is instead calling on politicians to work for the people.
The former governor of Rivers State also talked about the 2023 presidential election. He said he does not regret working against his party – the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) – and backing Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the APC.
The Minister of the FCT has been at loggerheads with his successor Governor Sim Fubara.
President Bola Tinubu had waded into the political tangle and brokered some peace. Wike said with time, residents of the state will know the real political giants.
