The Delta State Government is Set To Boost Economy With N724.98 Billion In 2024. This was disclosed to the press after Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State officially signed the budget into law.

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State in south-south Nigeria has officially assented to the state’s 2024 Appropriation Bill, totaling N724,979,313,867 billion. The approved budget is structured with N316,624,462,711 allocated for recurrent expenditure and N408,354,851,156 designated for capital expenditure. The budget, titled “Budget of Hope and Optimism,” reflects the state’s commitment to fostering sustainable economic growth.

During the signing ceremony in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori highlighted the budget’s strategic focus on propelling the state’s economy towards a path of sustained development. Governor Oborevwori emphasised that the 2024 budget aims to stimulate domestic and foreign investments, enhance productivity, and improve the overall business environment in Delta State.

The budget aligns with the governor’s MORE Agenda, a social and economic pact designed to deliver lasting benefits to the people of Delta State. The signing of this budget underscores the state government’s dedication to promoting economic prosperity and development, setting the stage for the implementation of key initiatives outlined in the MORE Agenda.
