  1. Scam project. Dredging a river just to allow the Nigerian navy have better security and access to the Niger Delta? If this river is going to be dredged for economic purposes then where is your economic blue print? Visual aid, Demo overview Video to show the vision?
If it is real, then let it be done to a depth that will allow ocean vessels, ships, and tankers berth …….pass through the corridor and come in deep to a potential Oguta port which should contain at least 2 convertible berths with priority gas loading (during daytime) and Panama ship to shore container cranes operations for 9 hour night operations(unloading 2 ships per night and maybe on Sundays).

Be smart in where you locate the Port so that it doesnt go in too deep towards land to allow Imo people enjoy some benefits of the waters as state owned beach use on one end (part of which should contain a Cruiser ship loading dock) and another end used as a port.

Anchor the vision to sink a depth that allows this multipurpose use on cost saving transport measures to facilitate shipment of Imo's gas reserves when processing starts.
Be smart and show Igbo ingenuity. Igboland should fight for and cooperate on this development with part of the PPP engaging sister Igbo states.
