The people of Kogi Central and Okene in particular have celebrated the reappointment of Dr. Umar Shuaibu Oricha.

The celebration which took place at morawa house, Ateba in Agassa community in Okene, Kogi Central of the state attracted government house staff, past and present political office holders, ohinoyi of Ebiraland, and other traditional rulers.

Dr. Shuaibu appreciated God and the people of Kogi central for the honor and charged them to support the present Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo to succeed.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Malachite MLC TV, Avoyi Nwogu, has led Staff of the online Television Station on a Courtesy Visit to the New Director-General Protocol, Kogi State Government House, Ibrahim Suleiman.

During the visit at the Lugard House, Government House Lokoja, Avoyi described the appointment of the Media Professional as well deserved, promising that the Station will not relent in promoting the activities of the new government for the World to see.

In his response, the DG Protocol, Kogi State Government House, Ibrahim Suleiman, appreciated the fast rising Media Outfit for the visit and encouraged the staff to continue to operate according to the laws guiding the Profession.

Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello calls Traditional Rulers across the state to stop approving consent letters to miners to avoid land degradation and land grabbing .

Bello who made the call during the meeting with all monarchs in the state said land is the most precious gift from God and that giving it out without proper procedures could lead to community wipe out.

He urges Illegal Miners to desist from their work immediately.

Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has approved a 100 percent payment of Hazard Allowance to doctors, nurses and other categories of health workers in the state.

Bello announced the approval in government house Lokoja while playing host to the executive members of the state branch of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) and pioneer medical students of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Ayangba.

He said the payment would take immediate effect, saying the decision was to boost the morale of health workers in the employ of the state government.

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has presented the Proposed Draft Budget for the year 2024, Titled “Budget of Consolidation and Continuity for Inclusive Growth,” to the State House of Assembly at the Assembly Complex, Lokoja.

Governor Bello said the proposed appropriation bill is a balanced budget of over N258 billion naira

The total budget for 2024 is a 30.71% increase compared to the 2023 approved budget of over N197 billion naira.
