Residents of Yola, the Adamawa state capital, have called for the rehabilitation of some major roads across the state.
The call, they said followed the dilapidated state of the roads which has made commuting a Herculean task.
The link road from Numan local government of Adamawa to Jalingo, the Taraba state capital is among the worst federal roads that have become adeath trap for motorists plying it.
Due to potholes and the general poor condition of the road, trips along the road are prolonged.
The contract that was awarded by the federal government in 2016 for the construction of the road is yet to see the light of day.
The story of federal roads within Adamawa state is similar especially, the roads spanning through Yola to Mubi, Girei, Song, Hong, Fufore, and Gombi, and the link roads between Guyuk council area to some local governments in Southern Borno state.
