In a meeting with Nigerians living in foreign countries, Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour Party, once again highlighted the possibility of a ‘New Nigeria.’
During his ‘Thank You Tour’ in the United States, Obi expressed optimism about the potential for a new Nigeria if the right individuals are placed in government positions at all levels.
A statement signed jointly by the Coordinators of the PONewNigeriaProject, Dr. David Ogula, Dr. Moses Paul, and Mrs Ndidi Mbagwu, reiterated Obi’s sentiments. The statement was made available to journalists on Sunday.
Reflecting on his impactful journey in the US and a lecture he delivered at Harvard Law School, the former Anambra State Governor emphasized the collective ability of Nigerians to overcome current challenges, seize opportunities, and build a nation where every citizen can flourish.
Obi stated, “Let us carry forward the lessons learned, the relationships formed, and the determination to create a brighter future for Nigeria as we embark on this journey.
“Together, by facing challenges, embracing opportunities, and fostering an environment where all citizens can thrive, we can make significant progress. Your steadfast support is appreciated, and let us continue moving forward with courage, compassion, and optimism.”
Obi acknowledged the enlightening discussions on the country’s status and future pathways, emphasizing the hope, determination, and shared vision observed during the interactions.
Expressing gratitude towards individuals whose commitment and zeal inspire excellence and positive community impact, Obi remarked,
