After resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party, Peter Obi has officially become a member of the Labour Party.
“My gratitude to all Nigerians, especially the youth, who have joined me in the mission of reclaiming and uniting Nigeria. This initiative belongs to you and is for the future of your children. I am simply a facilitator.
Following my resignation from the PDP due to conflicting issues with my principles and character, I have engaged in extensive consultations with various parties and individuals to ensure a smooth path towards our desired destination.
For me, the process of achieving our goal is as crucial as what follows. As a result, I have chosen a path that aligns with our aspirations and my commitment to transitioning the country from a consumer to a producer; that path is the Labour Party, which embodies the values of the people, workers, development, production, securing, and uniting Nigerians as one family. I urge all Nigerians to join me in reclaiming our country. Rest assured, I will not disappoint you.”
