Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, has made a startling allegation that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, is being backed by former Heads of State.
The Publisher of Sahara Reporters claimed that former President Olusegun Obasanjo and ex-heads of state, Ibrahim Babangida and Abdulsalam Abubakar, are serving as godfathers for Peter Obi.
Sowore revealed this via his official Twitter account on Thursday, July 14, 2022, where he also pointed out Chairman of Norther Elders Forum, Ango Abdullahi, and former National Security Adviser, Aliyu Gusau.
In his tweet, he wrote; “Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida, Aliyu Gusau, abubakar Abdusalam and Ango Abdulahi are @PeterObi’s ‘God fathers,’ the people that ruined Nigeria are the ones fronting for him. May it never happen that we work with these criminals! #WeCantContinueLikeThis.”
He reiterated, “Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida, Aliyu Gusau, abubakar Abdusalam, and Ango Abdulahi are @PeterObi’s ‘God fathers,’ the people that ruined Nigeria are the ones fronting for him. May it never happen that we work with these.”
